My really Favorite things!

A little cork heel is so perfect for spring

    Okay it is still gross weather and early dark nights so I have to get excited about something right?    So lets talk about SHOES!!!   Chocolate might be even better but you can't take pics of Chocolate like shoes.

       Most of you know that the economy has been terrible these past few years so my fun time of buying shoes has been drastically reduced and I have had to get pickier.  My rule now is "Don't try them on because you will like them and have to buy them, or in the small chance that you have self discipline and don't buy them, then you will dream about them with a pain in your stomach all night long.

These are tiger print....I always feel like a 'hot mama'  or at least really cute when I wear them.

     On the BRIGHT side though,  I am going to put out on the net some of my favorite shoes, just to stay in the shoe mood:

I usually don't favor flats but these were just too cute

Rain drops on roses

Maria in 'The Sound of Music' taught her children, that she governed, to sing about their favorite things whenever they were scared or troubled.  Well, I have raindrops on my roses, so much so that they rotted last year and who knows if I will even see any this spring thanks to endless days of rain.  The dreary overcast skies crowd in on me and everything feels dark and sufficated by about 2:00 almost every day.  Or so it seems.  The ground hog saw it's shadow on the 2nd which means that there was a least one sunny day recently but also that there will be 6 more weeks of winter  aghhhhhhhhh!  I hate it.....  so I decided to take pictures and write about my favorite things..........

My Teddy Bear collection.  I just can't resist a cute cuddly bear.  I have gotten rid of alot of them but the ones my husband has given me are never going anywhere.  I love them.

My holiday decorations.  I do need some grand kids around to appreciate just how cute I can go with these.....maybe next year?

Gifts from my Mom and my sister.  They always send me things that remind them of me and they are generally right on.  This last birthday they gave me this cute owl collection.  Fabulous I'd say.

Works of Art that my sweet husband seems to pick up from time to time.  I need more walls.  I love this stuff.

Handmade things like this rag quilt from my mom.  It's my fav.

Okay...I feel better now...even if it is pouring outside.  Maybe tomorrow I will blog about my shoes....I love them too!

White Trash....enough already

I have always been embarrassed by our front yard but always push it aside with the excuse that "Oh, well my husband is a builder this is just the way it is" or "it could be worse".  well it is worse this weekend.  To add to our image of 5 cars, a dune buggie, a deck display, a utility trailer and some railing, on the front lawn,  the city added a port-a potty while they put in a new pipe system.  Also, to add to the 2 cars, a truck, a tool trailer, piles of lumber, buckets and shovels in the driveway we got Toilet Papered, (commonly called TPed) for the third week-end in a row.   We have no idea who is doing this but if it is you, and you know who you are, either be more generous next time and leave half of the roles unroled out so we can keep them in our storage or else have pity and don't add to our 'white-trash' image........we already have a complex.....pleeeeeeze!
